became Back in Black.

Blow up the video sessions tracks
Left over tracks from the Blow up the video session
After the release at the end of 1996 of a bootleg single featuring
an unreleased AC/DC song, 'Alright Tonite' and a demo version of 'That's The Way I Wanna Rock N Roll', another unreleased
track was released last week. The song is called 'Let It Lose' and can be found as B-side of a bootleg 7" single which features
a demo version of 'Heatseeker' on the A-side.
Like 'Alright Tonite', 'Let It Lose' was recorded during the "Blow Up Your Video" recording
sessions. The bootleg 7" single was released in four different vinyl colors (black, green, red and pink) and in very limited
edition. It appears that audio tapes were stolen from the recording studios during the sessions of "Blow Up Your Video". In
many interviews following the release of "Blow Up Your Video", the band said that they wrote and recorded 19 songs from which
10 were kept for the album itself and 3 were released as B-side of AC/DC singles, namely 'Snake Eye', 'Borrowed
Time' and 'Down On The Borderline'. Six songs were never released on any official AC/DC recording.
Angus and Malcolm often insisted on the fact that if a song was dropped from the album it was because it was not good enough
for the fans. We can then easily understand that the band is very upset about the bootleg release of these songs and is determined
to pursue the responsibles of the tapes theft. Anyway 'Let It Lose' has been released as a bootleg. But if the sound quality
of 'Alright Tonite' was good enough for a demo version, the sound quality of 'Let It Lose' is very poor, particularily when
hearing Brian's voice distorted by reverb effect.
Unless the band and its representatives find the responsibles of the theft, the four remaining unreleased tracks should
be released as bootleg singles in a near future.

Dave Evans era
Over the years information on certain rare tracks have leaked out. Sometimes these tracks have been b-Sides
to singles , non-worldwide releases un-released , illegal bootleg recordings or otherwise. It is not known for certain how
much material is hidden away stored in vaults. These tracks and rumours of possible others have left the AC/DC die-hards yearning
for their release to complete the definitive recorded collection.
Below I have tried to list a few of these rare recordings relating to the Dave Evans period of the band.
Dave Evans era rare tracks
Can I sit next to you girl / Rockin in the Parlour - This was the first ever single and was
released in Australia in 1974. It features Dave Evans on vocals on both tracks.
It is also reported that AC/DC recorded a version of the track Rock n Roll singer with Dave
Evans before Bon joined the band. The track is reported to have different lyrics and was recorded at the same sessions as
the Rockin in the Parlour and Can I sit next to you single.
Around about the time that Dave Evans was in the band the set list also included Old Bay Road
(A Malcolm Young composition) , Sunset Strip (Which was later tyransformed in Show Business) , Fell
in Love (Which was later transformed into Love Song) and a track titled Midnight Rock. It is unlikely
that these tracks were recorded in the original form.
