On the 19th Febuary 1980 was the most tragic and most influential event in the history of the band AC/DC. The former lead
singer Bon Scott was found dead in the back of friend's car in London.
Bon had went to a club called the Music Machine
in Camden Town with a friend by the name of Alistar Kinnear. After several rounds of drinks Bon and Kinnear left the club
to return to Ashby Court were Bon was staying at the time.
On the Journey over however Bon fell asleep in the car.
On arriving at Ashby Court Kinnear was unable to waken Bon. Uncertain about what to do Kinnear finally decided to drive back
to his flat with Bon still asleep in the car.
On arriving back at Kinnear's house at 67 Overhill Road Dulwich. Kinnear
was still unable to waken Bon from his drunken slumber. Alistair Kinnear then decided to leave Bon to sleep of his night of
drinking.
67 Overhill Road were Bon was found dead in the back of a car
When Kinnear finally returned to check on Bon in the back of his Renault 5 car , to his horror he found that Bon had not
moved. Fearing the worst he rushed his friend to the Kings College Hospital in London. Bon Scott was however
was pronouced dead on arrival the cause of death apparently due to the fact that Bon had choked on his own vomit probably
due to way he was twisted up as he lay asleep in the back of the car.
As with the deaths of most of the famous in the rock world many theories on how Bon died were mentioned in the following
weeks. All these theories and hearsay are irrelevant the fact still remains that the World had lost one of the greatest vocalist
of all time.
Bon's body was flown back to Fremantle Australia to be buried at a private service held by his family
and close friends.
Fremantle Cemetery is on the Corner of Carrington Street and Leach Highway Fremantle, Australia
